For 25 years, Universal Companies has remained committed to improving communities and changing lives through cultural and entrepreneurial opportunities that break the cycle of generational poverty within historically disenfranchised communities. We have made significant strides in developing communities throughout the Philadelphia region by delivering quality K-12 education and childcare, youth development programs, affordable housing, assistance for seniors, and by remaining thought leaders in policy, education and economic development.
On Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 6:00pm – 8:30pm at Universal Audenreid Charter High School, we will kick off Universal Companies’ 25 Year Anniversary Celebration during, An Evening of Style and Grace. This is our largest fundraiser event of the year which supports our youth development programs Pearls of Wisdom, From Boys to Men, The Universal Culinary Academy and Universal Champion Basketball Team.
As we celebrate our accomplishments, we also remain humble and acknowledge that many of our achievements would not have been possible without the support of generous sponsors, community leaders and Universal champions. This year during An Evening of Style and Grace we also have the esteemed privilege of honoring Sharmain Matlock-Turner, President & CEO of the Urban Affairs Coalition, and Robert "Bob" Archie, Partner at Duane Morris, with our 2017 Universal Community Service Awards.
